Default Rally wheels & tire question

I found a guy selling a set of 15x7 Rally wheels with new Uniroyal GTS P235/R60/15 tires for $440. How would this size tire look on my '72? Isn't a 235/60 a smaller diameter and wider tire?

Default wheels

they wouldn't be right for the corvette. There for camaro chevelle wheels and you will notice them right away cause the center cap will stick further outward. Get the 15x8's I bought brand new ones with more backspacing for the rear to allow for wider tires in the rear;.

The '68 car was the only one that came with 7" rims, I believe. '69 and later cars had the 8" wide rims. I wouldn't put 235 width tires on a 7" rim.

What are you running now? Visibly, the 7s will look like the 8s.

235 means tread width is 235 millimeters wide. 60 series means the side wall of the tire is 60% as wide as the tread.

A 235 tire will look wider than a 225 or a 205. A 255 will look to be about one inch wider than a 235.

A 70 series tire is taller than a 60 series tire. A 50 series tire is shorter than either.

7" Corvette rally wheels are coded AG and were used only on the 68 models.

Thanks guys. I do believe I'll pass on these. I'm running 255/60/15 on American Racing rims now and they are pretty tight. Only have rubbing issues if I turn real sharp.

Really, 7s look like 8s???
And a 235 is for a back of a vega station wagon.
