Are you sure you want to do that?

Increases function but greatly reduces appearance. Sort of FUGLY on a 73.

If you do it no turning back, You will have to remove the window glass to do the install. You may be disappointed in the view out the rear, the chrome mirrors provide a better rear view.

I was gonna do that to my '71 vert, but if you can't see, what good would it be. Glad I saw this.

Get the correct ones, if you use a generic like for eg from a pontiac the will be tilted inwards too much with the standard seal. Use a conical drill with steps for different diameters (don't know what the correct English word for it is) so you have more control. Drill in short bursts, the metal underneath heats us pretty fast and paint will start peeling off on the outside (at least on mine it did). Measure 5x, drill once. Good luck

By the way, to all you guys who say you can see nothing but your rear fenders in your side mirrors - your mirrors are adjusted wrong. How to adjust your car mirror

I did it back in 1982 on an old custom I had...

I liked how it looked and I had no problems in seeing. As a matter of fact, I didnt like the add on stock style chrome on the RH, so adding these were better than 1 stock one for sight.

I bought a set of Corvette sport mirros at a swap, took out the windows, drilled and installed. I'm a total hack, so if I could do it anyone can.

I prefer pure stock cars nowadays, but I dont think this change looks awful with the rubber front bumper.
