Default Let's Play Name That Part!

Out of all the boxed and bagged parts I got with our '77 these are the only ones I don't know what the heck to do with (so far)

Could anyone ID these for me? Just to throw out a guess, I'm going to say something for the interior?

The winner will receive a free years subsciption to AMC Pacer Performace magazine! The first issue has a great article about how to convert your Pacer into a garden fish bowl by turning it on it's roof and filling it with water and your favorite fish.

Since the PO (the king of all Bubbas in Bubbaland) didn't put the seat belts back in when he installed new carpet I'm not sure.

I would say that's a excellent guess! Maybe we can get a judges ruling on this?

I have built several mid 70's vettes... and can honestly say that I have NEVER seen any pieces like that. I agree with denbo about the under seat belt retractor covers.... but they are not from a 77 though.

Yes,..they cover the seat belt retractors under each seat, used in earlier C3's. I don't why they were needed,..perhaps some sort of separator between the seat springs and retractors.

That's exactly what I have here... my photo doesn't show the same angle as the listing on ebay. The part # on mine are 362973B and 362974B. According to the ebay listing the 73B is a drivers side (LH).

I'm thinking Dembo wins the magazine subscription!

Included in this is a surprise Super Grand Prize! A beautiful, red 1976 AMC Pacer!

I can say with certainty that 1976 corvettes have those seat belt retractor covers. They screw down to the floor at the back of each seat area where the seat belt retractor is sunken down in the floor board. I've r&r'ed them several times. They make the transition from carpet to sill plate very crisp and clean. Hardly any quarters can get under them.

OK.. I just HAD to know so I pulled the drivers seat out and rolled the carpet back - yep, these cover the retractors that fit under the seat. Basically, it's a cover that gives the carpet a base and keeps it from coming in contact with the seat belts.

Thanks for playing along guys

Com'on guys... forget about those damn seat belt retractor covers. What about that really cool AMC Pacer? That was my winter beater back in the early '80's when I owned my first '80 Vette. After driving one of those I knew what it was like to live in a fish bowl. Love that car!!!

Nevermind how eager I am to add another US classic to my car collection I'll gladly give it away in the christmas thread. I'm sure the value of the car exceeds the shipping cost but my driveway is just too small.
