Looking to have a 24 X 30 garage with vaulted ceilings built this summer. Hoping that with the vaulted ceilings a 4 post lift will work in there. It's getting a little costly especially since there will need to be a lot of excavation due to the grade of my property.

Here is a couple pictures of my 3 car garage, first one was a few years ago and the second is current. I was going to sell the house so I re-located everything to a 12 x 30 mini-storage but have since decided to stay for a few more years.

So I now have more room but have to move stuff back and forth as I need it for the restoration of the 71. I kept my air compressor and 1 of 5 tool boxes at the house. Kind of a PIA to work this way but for now it is what it is.

Plan is to build a 30 x 60 shop at my next home location.

Yes, that was a 3 year restoration. Found it up in Chicago with no engine or transmission started out its life as a 300 hp 4-spped car with factory PB and side pipes. It's now a 427 390 hp car.

My city nixed my builders first submission of a 3 car garage as to big compared to my home. They talked and the builder is submitting a 2 car with a large workshop at one end. When I get a lift, I'll be able to get the 3 cars in and have plenty of room.

Lotta nice stuff!!!

OK- When I bought my house -it did have a basement garage-

One car wide- and about 35' deep-

Both would fit but it was tight-

My 71 gets to reside down there-

So I decided to add another garage-

I had to be back 50' from the road so that limited me a bit- made it 24' x 32'

Here's the start-

Add a second story while I was at it...

Closed it...

Looks like its part of the house...still don't have room for my daily driver!!!

The cupola's roof - I made with fiberglass-

Here's a before and after-

THAT`S why you need a garage with no windows!

Default My Garage

Here is my existing garage (31x44) and the site prep done for the addition (32x48).

The green shelter logic has a '72 on a twirler. Next to that is a '00 FRC and a '93 Ruby Red Convertible.

The frame on the ground is the one I just picked up at Carlisle. There is a 65 L79, 72 L48 and 70 L46 in the garage and the upper garage has a '72 restored chassis for the shelter logic body and a '72 LS5 Cpe.

I hope to retire next month and be able to work on the cars after I get done the house work.
