Radio has a whining sound; changes with engine rpms
My radio has a whining sound that changes with the engine rpms. Is it a grounding problem?

Its a common problem in lots of aftermarket installs done in even newer cars. Make a new ground from unit to a solid place on frame or battery normally cures it.

there are capacitors that you can purchase that are designed to eliminate the RF interference. all the grounds in the world won't eliminate the interference.

As mentioned, this is a common problem. Not sure if still do, but Radio Shack used to sell a filter kit, with an inductor and capacitor. Places like Parts Express, may sell these too. Maybe check with the forums electronics/audio section, while at it.
