Default New Member - Dark or Light, You Decide........

Hi All,

New member and recent vette owner from (not so) sunny London!!

Was hoping to pick your collective brains and wisdom regarding the interior colour of my '72 coupe. I need to order a new centre console and I can't work out if its light or dark saddle (i think it might be dark).

Would really appreciate your help on this one guys

Cheers

Paul

Thanks for the link

It's kind of weird. Corvette Central list both light and dark saddle for the '72, however Eckler's list only dark saddle for this year. There's only one code listed for the interior (421).

There was both 417 and 421 for 72, I think yours looks like light saddle from that pic. Check your trim tag, it will tell you what it is. Oh BTW welcome to the forum.

Welcome Paul and if the outside looks as good as the interior, seems like you have a nice one there.

Mrs. BTAL, a Norfolk lass, would approve!.

Cheers.

It's leather so definitely 421, and thanks for the welcome

Yep, the lighting does make it look a little bit lighter than it really is. My gut feel is it's dark saddle as well......bloody confusing though!!

Thanks buddy

She's in lovely condition, but I hope to get her painted sometime soon (once i've saved my pennies) as the paint is ageing

Here's a short vid of her from the previous owner before she left for England in December.

Trim plate says 421. Perhaps the CC choice of light and dark is just a bum steer to confuse me.

You might call 1 800 880 8080 for a accurate identifcation, or E Mail alknoch@flash.net they make the interiors that most of the Corvette parts stores sell
