'81-Replacing Headlight and Wiper Switches
I'm going to replace both switches and was wondering what will be the easiest approach. If I remove the speedo and tach cluster, will that give me good access to the back of the switches? I figured on sending the speedo out to be upgraded to 140 mph anyhow, so now is as good a time as any to replace the switches. Any thoughts on who to send the speedo to?

Melting Slicks
remove drivers seat - so you can lay on your back
loosen steering column bolts to drop column 1/2"
remove lens screws, bezel screws
reach behind the dash to unplug harnesses
pull it straight out over the steering column and rotate past steering wheel
now you can easily reach over and disconnect/remove the headlite, wiper switches too
