Just an article I found interesting. Not our years for C3 but good read none the less.

Apparently the seller thinks it's worth more than it is.

"The Corvette had been in a climate controlled environment and not driven since Sept. of 1981."
Just goes to show how much peoples interpretations can differ.
It was a long 13 yrs since Neil drove it I guess before it went into climate controlled storage in 81. But then again, didn't he walk on the moon in 69 not 67 or 68? But then again it looks like they got different cars at different times.
Maybe this is just a different Neil?

There's a SUCKER born evey minute, and they finally know they are a sucker after blind bidding and winning on a piece of con-artist crap like that.

That's a lot of cake considering if, like the article states, they got a new one every year. I wonder what his '69 would be worth when he became "famous"?

What the seller thinks it's worth is irelevent, or for that matter, it's actual worth. I know for a fact that often times, people will put such a high reserve on an item, that it won't sell. All their interested in is finding out what other people are willing to bid. This, at times, will generate a bidding war. The seller just sits back and watches. I listed an item on E-bay once with a "too high" reserve, after all was said and done, that item went for about $4000.00 more than what it was actually worth. So, at least one person, somewhere out there is willing to spend the money. You can call it a piece of crap all you want, but I'm willing to bet the seller will be smiling all the way to the bank.
