Well...what's this...Loose Wires
So last night I decided to just look around the car a little bit...just to see if I noticed any obvious things...
I have a loose Spark Plug wire, heard some static and sparks and saw the wire shaking while the engine was running
Then I look at the headlights to see if there were any obvious loose vacuum hoses and what not...didn't see any loose hoses....but I found these dangling beauties...they looked like the were coming from around the canisters...like I said I was doing this at night before I went to bed so I haven't investigated yet or pulled out that AIM...but could this be why my lovely headlights are not operating properly???
There is definitely a ground wire, a connector and a couple other loose wires just hanging out.

Do your horns work? About the only electrical items that far forward are the horns and turn signals/side markers. That ground should bolt to the header panel for the headlights, probably on the left side of the car. Does/did the car have electric fans? That or a now defunct alarm system.....

The red crimp on connector is Bubba. Where to these three wires go? The two with ring connectors may be stock harness grounds. The AIM will show the factory grounds.

My vote is the horn (Green) and the ground (black). Right now I have both unhooked in my car awaiting a replacement horn. Its hard to tell from the photo but there should be two black one goes to the horn ground the other is a ground connected to the radiator support.

Hi d,
I'm thinking horn too.
On my 71 the horn ground connection is just to the right of the center of the headlight support bar. You can JUST see it in this picture.
Regards,
Alan
