Default 68 front wheel spindle ?

Hi

If I install for example 78 front spindles to my 68, do I also need to replace the bearing housing ?
The 68 has thinner spindles ( same as the C2 ) and as of 69, the spindle diameter was increased.
It is just a stupid idea from me that a thicker spindle will be better for my 68 BB with all the weight on the front.

Might be work you do not have to do. There were plenty of 65-68 big block cars with the same spindles as yours.

you will have tp change the hub also, in other words re-hub your rotor to any 69 or later

Hi

So it is not sufficient to replace only the spindles.
The hub needs to come as well from a younger C3 :

Thanks & rgds. Günther
