Default Do I trust Willcox? I sure do now.

About 7 weeks ago I purchased a rebuilt power steering pump from Willcox, I had not dealt with them before, I am always careful about my purchases as freight is a killer to Australia. As promised, about two weeks later the pump arrived in one piece via USPS. However it had the wrong pulley fitting on it, it was the right pump but had a keyway where mine was a press fit straight shaft. I contacted Willcox about it and once they saw the photo's I sent them they had no hesitation in sending me the correct unit, Freight was way more than the price of the unit so returning the wrong one was not a financial option. I know it was their mistake in the first place and my car has been off the road for 7 weeks but mistakes happen and they corrected it without complaint and at their expense, this sale ended up costing Willcox far more than I spent with them, will I buy from them again? Yes indeed, I have a lot of admiration for anyone who simply fixes their mistakes. Thank you Willcox, you have a loyal customer in me.

Cheers, Dennis.

Are they perfect? No. Do they run a business like a business is suppose to run? Yes. Some companies go out of business and the owners can't understand why. Service? Willcox obviously looks at the big picture and not the speck on a yard stick.

this is the main reason i use Willcox, because the postage amount is shown in the checkout as you order.
tried other vendors with their hidden costs when i first started, but kept going back to Willcox.
6 orders so far, 3 about 250$ and the others between 450$-800$ range
only 1 problem, missing a small spring, but that was sorted straight away and posted asap, arrived 1 week later.
latest order was last week with the 20% off 4th july sale.
might not seem much to some people, but the saving covered the cost of postage and then some.

keep up the good work Willcox

I have put a lot of orders through Willcox for the same reasons, Shipping calculator on web site, good prices and they chase up thing to ensure you are happy.

Ernie even gave me a dipstick tube out of his own parts when the one I ordered turned out to be a discontinued item.

Happy to recommend anytime.

here's a good example...
i had just placed an order with a vendor, when i found something extra i needed
so rather than ordering from the USA and waiting another 2-3 weeks, i bought it local.
if i had bought the parking brake cable thru Willcox, it would have cost 40$ (normal) -80$ (ss) approx + shipping
the local guy here was 120$ + shipping, and that was for a normal steel cable

so yes, please open a sub branch, you would do well..
and a good chance for a holiday to check out the vette scene downunder

I like it when people take the time to share good experiences they had with vendors. Generally people (myself included) are all to happy to jump on a forum and trash somebody when they feel they got bad service, but it is nice when folks share the positive stuff too. The good guys deserve recognition.

I recently worked with Norm @ Willcox on the phone and he did a kickass job of getting a pair of new battery cables on time to me for my weekend project... very glad to have a vendor that's really into the cars!

Default Willcox is good!

G'day Aussie79, riverracer et al,

I buy goods from Willcox and have never had a bad experience so will continue to use them when I need parts for my Corvettes. However, if you need a Saginaw power steering pump, bracket or pulley, then you might want to look at my website, www.pro-steer.com.au. These products are all from Borgeson in Connecticut USA, www.borgeson.com, and I have stock of them here in Melbourne. You can have one tomorrow or the day after you order, depending on Australia Post.

I'm not trying to compete with Willcox or any other of the major Corvette suppliers for the complete range of Corvette parts, but am just concentrating on the steering box and pump, hose, rag joint, etc. area. Call me on 03-9502-3227 or check out the website. Afternoons and evenings suit me best.

Regards from Down Under.

Yup, Quite a few orders from Willcox. Great to deal with.

Once again.. It's a long way to Australia, so you want to be doing business with a company you can trust.

Very happy here.

I would recommend them to!

I buy all my parts from them and i live in the UK...
Once i bought a tach board from them and it turned out to be from a defective batch, of course by the time i realised that it was already installed and the whole dash was back together.
I didn't want to tear everything back until i had a replacement to do a direct swap, and the guys at willcox agreed to just send me a replacement first so i could do the swap and send the defective back after.

Not many sellers would have agreed to that!

I still have not had the time and courage to tear everything down again, but ernie i promise that as soon as i do i will send you the old board back!

Carlos.. there are new instructions on the site on how to get that dash apart easier....

Corvette Left Hand Dash Pad Removal Made Easy 1968-1977

Your board was one of the very.. very first production boards that had a faulty part. Since then we've had no issues and boy what a disaster that was for us. We had to track down and replace them all.

Don't worry about sending it back.. I've already wrote it off
