Way too many pages to copy and the detail would be lost. Go to Ebay and search for AR-191 which is a Sams Photofact. 75 and 76 are identical and a model 61YFM1 refers you back to 51YFM1 which is in AR-191. THat's what I use to fix them.

The two major problems in those radios are the on-off switch which is not repairable due to plastic internal parts and the audio output modules which make crackling sounds even when the volume control is fully reduced.

Do you still repair the 1976 Corvette Delco Radios. My AM doesn't work and get a lot if Static on FM stations.

I responded to you via a private message Bumby. Check that for more details. Basically, I doubt it's the radio.
That sounds much more like a broken center conductor in the antenna cable - probably at the radio connector end. My suggestion is to use a cheap aftermarket antenna (about $10) to test with before pulling and shipping the radio anywhere. If that proves out, repair or swap the cable and save a bunch of bucks for ->
