What do you call the cable that goes from the transmission shift linkage up to the steering column and allows the ignition to go to the "off-lock" position. Mine was binding at the transmission end. I took it off, tried to fix the kinks, and run PB blaster down the tube but it is at it again. I almost didn't get it to stay in park today and I had to go pull the arm on the steering column into proper position to remove the key.
Is it a CA-1145 part number? It looks to be the part, but I'm not sure.
Also, when I'm running from drive to park or park to driver, should it be just barely turning the steering wheel? I'm worried that the arm on the steering column is "sticking" and it is going to cause the next cable to bind as well.
