Default How rare are my seat belts and what are they worth?

Someone is interested in my seat belts so I started looking for a price I would be comfortable selling them to him and noticed that they might be rare?

They are definitely in rough condition but it seems for some items that doesn't matters and sometimes it does...

Seat belts are very expensive to restore. Give Ssnake-Oyl a call about their restoration services and also ask how much they would sell a restored set of 1969 corvette seat belts for.

yeah. I definitely don't want them as i'm going 5pt harness I think.

But I sold a guy my old seats and after he bought them he was like..."what else do you have?"

Guess he's going to take my small block hood, paint it with chalk board paint, and hang it in his kids room. Figured that's better than it sitting in my basement taking up room.

I paid $300 for a mint set of black '70 belts, including the shoulder harnesses a few months ago. Any rust or imperfections in the chrome drops the value considerably. Are the ends in good shape on yours? Looks like it may be worn based on the first photo. You (or the next owner) can take belts and dye them with RIT dye to look like new if the fabric is still in decent shape.

44B69 is a date code. Right off hand I can't recall how to unscramble it. Might be 44th week of 1969. If memory serves, C12A is the correct model code for 69.

Punisher: Not certain your belts are rare, but they look like they are in reasonable shape. Do you have the matching shoulder belts?

44th week of 69. Since 69 production continued right up to December, that makes them 69 belts.

They're 69 second design belts. I think that the earlier belts used plastic, color keyed buckles.

Without the shoulder belts, I say they're probably worth around $100-$150.

Thought so, but I get confusticated some of most of the time every now and then, more or less.

Actually, more more than less.

did all cars come with shoulder belts at that time or was it an option?

I don't have them which I figured hurts my value.

There is a bit of rust on one of the clips but other than that they're just dirty and stained a bit. which if you can dye them they would probably look pretty good.

Shoulder belts were standard in all 68 up coupes, and optional on 68-75 convertibles.

wonder why the stock lap belts are in there but the shoulder belts are gone...

Although not surprising with all the other Bubba mods that were done before I took over.
