Thanks for all the comments and congrats. It really feels good to be back in a c3. The c5 was fun, but kinda boring... the 75 was my first car, and that will never change, so c3s are in my blood.
UPDATE!
So after school today, I drove down to Garland, where Mike and I did some small adjustments on the 73. First of all, I picked up a set of windows for the car. For some reason, the drivers glass is broken. When I get done, I will have a passenger glass for sale, so if any of you are interested...
Second, we did a little r&r to the carb. The float level was off, and the car was running waay lean. Also the throttle cable wasn't adjusted correctly. With those issues out of the way, the car idles, runs and accelerates MUCH better. IT now can chirp the tires when it hits second, spin the tires etc.
We also changed an aged fuel line to the carb. The rubber lines are going to be there for now, but will soon be changed to a hard line for sure.
Much thanks for the time and expertise of Mike Dyer (tracdogg2)

Burning Brakes
welcome back Ben! Now you can keep the parts off of those parts cars and use what you can.
I like your comment about the C5 being boring...I have thought the same thing since I rode in my brother's car when he had a C5.

Million years ago as teen, good buddy had this same car w/L82 . Is a looker for sure !!!
I'm seeing GM classic sidepipes on this car all the way to finish it off .
Congrats on a fine purchase.

Its funny, i just did the same thing recently. Traded my c5 for a Red 1972 BB coupe. The C5 was a great car, but completely different compared to the classic. I found that when i drove the C5, it was very plain. Quick! But plain. What really made up my mind was that i was also working on a 1977 restoration. Getting to see the inner workings of the C3s and realizing where my true passion is. In fact, i am still working on it. When that one is done, then the 72 will be next. Although like the 77, i'm still not sure where the money is going to come from.
