Yeah, unfortunately, we have to wait 2 years to get the plates. This is just a pre-order.

The law specifies that 7,500 applications must be reached by January 1, 2015. If 7,500 applications are not received by that date, any fees paid for the California Legacy plates will be refunded to the applicant.

I guess I am lucky that I could use these in FL, I haven't decided on which one to use. What would be the best color combo, Car is Cortez Silver, Green or Red Plate?

The pictures of the plates are in my Garage album, I can't post pictures on photobucket from my computer in Iraq.

We have lotsa cons in CA; gotta keep 'em busy. Plus those powerful guards have our "wonderful" legislators locked up, cuz they want their money. Ain't life grand?

In California if you dont keep your car registered or Non-Op, You loose your plates. I had a friend that had a previous PO "Registration slip" and he was able to keep the original plates even thou it had expired, I feel he got lucky between his gift to gab in that DMV teller that day.
I recently bought a 75 Corvette Conv. per Lein Sale. Technacly there supposed to remove the plates before sale, Well they where still on there, And even thou I had DMV paper work that matched those plates with that car they would'nt let me put them on the car. So instead of the original Blue plates I have the current White ones. So much for recycling, Welcome to Comifornia.

Don't know about painted but one idea is to buy a set of blue plates on eBay and then register them as a ustom plate. This is an expensive way to go but it should work.
