I can NOT see doing this with the glass in the door...!!!!!!
Other than that, take your time....it's not rocket science.....
It kinda explains itself.....

You really have to remove the glass and have lots and lots of patience. You will drop that damn bolt a million times before you get it started. I used a 1/4 ratchet with lots of extensions and swivel joints and that did not work. Ended up balancing the nut on the end of my finger and slowly started to thread it on. Once you get the nut started it is easy.

A "while you are at it" and while you have the window out, pull the tracks, clean them and grease them up with white lithium grease. If you are really looking to enjoy yourself in there where your hands don't fit and you cant see, pull your window regulator and clean and grease that. Pull your window motor out and grease the motor up also.

Enjoy!

One tip is to remove 3 bolts and drop the latch mechanism inside the door (it will hang on the linkage). This provides some room to reach up to the bottom of the handle.

My drivers side latch is "droopy" so will travel the same path at some point.

It's ALWAYS the drivers side, as it gets the most use...I have a new passenger side unit....I think I'll do it when I HAVE to !

On my C3, I did absolutely everything on the car EXCEPT the door latches - I hired a Corvette shop to fix them for me....

I don't blame you! I think I'd rather to the power brake booster than the outer latches !

I did the brake booster - and swapped the pedals... I also did the trailing arms. And I still stand by my statement that I'd rather that than latches....
