Default help needed to install rear removable window

I am installing a removable window into my 76. I have all the hardware and gasket. The brackets have the screws that came out of a 71 car. How do I get these screws to attach since there are no holes for them in my car? Do I need to tap the areas for threads? Anyone done this and have any help?

I did this to my 77 last year. If I remember correctly I drilled the holes to install the upper latches and just used nice heavy clips to screw and fasten the latches into. Worked perfect. Toughest part of the whole job was installing the weatherstrip. I used some clamps and paint mixing sticks to secure it while the adhesive dried.

That sounds like my install.

lvmyvt76, are you referring to the latches? Here's mine:

Trae, looks like my install....difference in mine was I used the window itself to hold the weatherstrip in to dry.
