Default 1974...39yrs & 50K Miles..............

...took the old girl over to Bair's Corvette's Cruise-In in Linesville, PA today(Sat.). It was over 115mi one way, did a longer way on the way back. She turned 50,000mi ironically just as I was driving though the main xpressway interchange through Akron, Ohio where she was purchased new & spent her first 15yrs until I bought her in May of '89 with just 26,700mi. Got her home and for a present changed the oil with that high zinc dark green 40W Brad Penn motor oil and a new AC PF25 oil filter and we're good for the next few years.

Hooray for you getting out and enjoying the 74. When I had my 74 I got 36000 miles in 5 years and enjoyed them all in all kinds of weather!. Glad you are still enjoying yours. Luv the saddle leather interiors.

Do you notice a difference with the 40w brad penn? I have been using brad penn green for 2 years now, but still using lighter weight oil. 69 427/390

Is Yogi still with the business? Bair's has helped me with lots of stuff in the past. Nice folks to deal with.

I met Yogi at the Canfield, Ohio swapmeet many years ago. I was getting pretty deep into the frame off resto of my '68 and was looking for someone to rehab my trailing arm assemblies. He convinced me to send them to him. Glad I did. They called me when the parts arrived at the shop and told me just what they needed. They did great work and turned them around in less than a week. Needless to say, they got a lot more work and purchases from me through the remainder of the project.

These old Chevrolet V8s never give up. Sounds like it was a very nice trip!
