1975 vette won't start

1975 vette won't start
I drove car, parked, came out 5 minutes later, turned key...nothing. cables are good...tryed jumping...nothing.....popped clutch and started and drove home....checked starter and it would not do anything on the workbench...changed starter...still the same...changed 3 wires at the starter, one was fusable link...nothing....Any suggestions?

Have you checked the ground between the engine block and the frame?

did you bench test the new starter?

Check the safety switch on the clutch.

I'll give that a shot....seems I can disconnect the switch and wire direct to see if it starts??

Fuseable link. ? Had the fuse able link get corrosion on the connector by the firewall and it did the same thing your describing
