Default Parking lot repair...(rear shock upper bolt size?)

1969 vette.I have to do some repair...rear shock upper bolt is missing or broke...

which size bolt it is and how long??? (i have only metric bolts now)

IIR (looked through some old pics and notes since I had to modify a set of bolts) it's a 7/16 bolt (5/8 wrench) and it's 2-1/4" long (under head)

Biggest problem is it's a long shank with not much thread (maybe 1-3/4 plain shank and then 1/2 of thread)

I had to get some grade 8 bolts to match the shank length and then turn some of the thread off so they actually fit.
There's barely any room between the bolt and the jack/battery storage compartment wall
