Well.......the first Transporter forgot to show up/answer his phone two hours past the scheduled pick-up time .
A phone call later, a new transporter with a tilt-bed truck arrived in 10 minutes and had the car across the Mississippi River and at it's new home 30 minutes later
Of course the garage was still too full o]f moving-boxes, so the car stays outside tonight........

Know that's a positive move. Getting closer to the garage Tony maybe we will soon see you and the car back together getting it done.

Speaking from experience, as you have seen, just be sure to keep items organized and labeled. It will help your family liquidate the collection should anything ever happen. We would most likely be further ahead if dad had done that. Hopefully I can dedicate some garage clean up time after I get the 68 finished.

Thanks for the laffs and encouragement "Y'all! I'm only one third of the way into the mini garage......moving boxes are still stacked to the ceiling.
Now, twice in one year I know how Rvzio and other members feel about moving!
I still haven't connected the rag joint yet so I can move the car into the carport/front of body still needs wooden spacer-shims removed (don't ask) to be lowered a couple inches to line up joint halves
The garage itself still must have shipping "skids" removed from underside of "floor" so it can be permanently bolted to the slab since it was delivered pre assembled.
and to think..."I was actually driving the car at one time before I decided to enlarge the cargo/trunk area!

Time for a small update (very small )......................................
In the beginning........car was delivered/boxes of "stuff" were stacked to the rafters..............................
Today.............wrapped the car because weather stripping hasn't been installed before painting AND I managed to move about 60 boxes from the Vette garage into the house for unpacking.............
I finally am able to see the rafters and the rear wall of the garage again.

A different view of the Vette with the (semi)-correct tail light clip installed.......................
Before/the boxes were stacked/barely room to walk into the garage.................................. .
Today about 50 more boxes were unpacked (100+ boxes removed so far)...................................
There are about twenty more boxes left destined for the house to remove from the garage, then I can begin installing wiring for lights/A.C./heating/overhead hoist.

I still need to lower the front of the body onto the frame mounts so I can connect the rag joint to be able to drive the car in and out of the carport until the garage is empty enough to lock the car in it......(Whew!)
AND install a puppy fence AND add a loft in the garage AND dig a trench for underground garage electrics AND fab a gate for the carport AND enclose the carport with a garage door AND..............

You make me realize how fortunate I am that I don't have all that standing in the way of me working on my car (I really should be a lot farther along than I am). All I have to deal with is once a year my husband insists we remove everything from the packed garage and re-arrange it in the hope that we'll come up with more space than we had before.
stack the extra stuff neatly in the..........

I`m right there with you both! We`ve got the engine & trans rebuilt & back in the car...and have torn out the rear & trailing arms. Never guessed that would be the HARDEST part of this rebuild so far!

Tony & Priya both have big jobs in front of them and we are all pulling for you. My project has not been a picnic either but I feel VERY fortunate to have my beautiful shop so hopefully I will move along also. Funny, when I bought my 69 4 years ago the only thing I was replacing were the trailing arms and away I would go. WOW............... was I wrong!
