Vette's and Jet's on the Lex Picture's and Video's
First I want to say what a great event this years Vette's and Jets on the Lex was. Had to be the best one I've been to and I've been to all of them but the 1st one. I met some really good people over the past few days and ran into some old friends who I always look forward to hanging out with. But here is my 3 video's I put together plus pictures from Saturday and Sunday...

Wow, that's really cool! Great pics too. I've never seen so many Corvettes on an aircraft carrier, but then again, I've never seen Corvettes on an aircraft carrier, PERIOD! And a bunch of nice Vette's down there in Texas too.

Were you the official photographer? Typically in those kinds of pictures there would be a lot of people walking around. But the deck is clear with nothing but Corvettes (and one SSR?). Great shots, thanks for sharing.

Thank you Sir..
This event is held every 2 years and I've been to all of them except the 1st one. A must do event. But with the ship being built in 1942 the elevator that is used is getting aged and at some point will not be able to be used to lift planes or cars for that matter so once it quits it'll be no more. Here is a link to the event..

Thanks..
No sir.. I boarded the ship at 6am just at sunrise. A boy scout troop was spending the night on the ship and I knew it would be open so I took a chance to get on the flight deck with no one but me up there. It worked out perfectly because it was me,350 Vette's and one of the most decorated Navy warships of all time...

That's some great pictures.
It must take a while to get the cars up on the deck and then back down on the pier.
Lots of fun and something to talk about for sure.

The Lexington was stationed in my home town of Pensacola Fl. A few years ago when cut backs were first started, the Lexington was decommissioned and put up for auction. Pensacola wanted to make a museum out of it but could not raise enough money to keep it. I'm just glad to see the "old lady" getting the proper care and holding events where Joe Public gets to see her. Thanks for taking to share the great pics.
