I swear that somewhere in an earlier posting that your engine covers were already painted a maroon color? Too many nights laying awake at night must have changed the plan?
Love the blue! Should really pop in the sun

If I had a nickel for every time I changed my mind, my car would be finished! Like you once posted about being"wired differently", so am I, moving from task to task with no real sense. I figured as long as I keep making progress, eventually the car will be done!
keep up the good work
Jeff

Well all I'm on my final week in Washington State. I will be headed back to Texas on Friday. Wife tells me I have a pile of parts that has come in. I will have about 2 weeks before I head out again. So I'm hoping to get some of the parts on and some paint prep done.

When I get back to Texas I'll post the info on the Tail Shaft, The AC unit is from Vintage Air, They are not for all years as the controls are different depending on the year of your C3. Just give them a call and they will be glad to help.

Today I worked on the rocker covers, the screw's that hold the covers onto the rockers all broke off and rusted into the metal channel that goes over the frame.

I purchased the Rocker repair kit from Ecklers

First step was to cut the screws flush. Using a center punch I then got a good mark to keep the drill on the screw. I went in 3 steps small to larger holes to bring it up to the size needed for the adapter in the repair kit.

On my system its triggered from the ECM but could do the same with sending units and AC control switch.

Hey Tim, I'll be interested to see if this works OK, because on my setup fan1 will only be triggered (via the BCM-ECU) if a set of specific conditions are met, fan2 will then only be triggered (by the ECU) if fan1 is on and another set of conditions are met. I have not yet found anyone who can reprogram the ECU to change the settings for the fans.

Not sure who you got your wiring harness from but mine is from PSI. Fan 1 is programmed to come on at 182 and fan 2 comes on at 192. I will also wire the AC to trigger both fans. once I( wire the AC into the system I'll post the wiring for that). That will happen after body is married to frame.

Tim
