Default HELP!!! Emblem Adhesive Residue

I removed the Stingray emblems off of my 1976 corvette and 'm left with a black adhesive residue on the paint. Any suggestions regarding how to remove the adhesive residue without damaging the paint? Thanks in advance for the help!

Isopropyl (rubbing) alcohol. Available at a pharmacy.

Thanks Paul! I have a bottle but thought that stuff might damage the paint.

No, that is used routinely for prepping paint surfaces for such jobs as body-side moldings, etc. What you wish to avoid is lacquer thinner and acetone. If you have a concern try the alcohol in an inconspicuous painted spot.

Ardex can take glue out of fabric, carpet, paint, vinyl, will not damage part.

Goo-Gone, Prep-Sol, or other paint de-greaser.
