It's funny, then, how you took a picture that you thought was gonna be superb, get it developed, and it turns out blurry. Now you get an instant pic to look at on your phone, if not your camera. Instant retakes, if need be. If only everyone had taken pics of their cars as if they were going up for sale..the details of the day that we'd get to relive...

Terrorizing Orange Cones
Loved this pic. It reminds me of a guy I went to high school with in 1969. That looks like my old friend and his sister, though I'm guessing in real life, these two may not be siblings. Cool pic, nonetheless.
I was late getting to the plastic fantastics party. Decades ago, had a bad experience with a snooty Corvette puke and me being young and stupid, allowed that one guy to taint the entire class of enthusiasts.
My loss for all those years.
Since then, I have seen the light. Hallelujah! Can I get an Amen...
Here's a few of my favorite "Hero" cars. These are just a couple that have left such an impression on my psyche that each would be 'muy orgasmic' to own. Wet dreams are not for evenings anymore.
Many of you will instantly recognize the first example from a 2010 article:
That is one bad mo' fo' that I would rack up a few miles driving in parades or to local drive in car shows. I would take care of it but I'd also heat up the brake pads a little, too. What a ride, huh?
Then an old CF member assembled one that had an early demise. During the build though, I was taken by all the effort and components that he selected to go into it. This was the car where I first saw the wheels that I had to have on my project.
This is the only quick pic that I have of TNBusa's old ride:
I recreated a lot of that image into what I drive now.
Then a car like this one from CF member FW190D9 comes along and redefines fundamentals:
What a classy example of style, power, and technology, isn't it? Beautifully crafted by a talented individual.
Like I mentioned, it's been 9 years since I brought mine home looking like this:
Thanks to the OP for the opportunity to share the real and the un-real.

DustUp72. That is a picture of my dad with his mom around 73 right after he bought his first Corvette. He found it in a barn. A 69 427/390. It was orginlly maroon on black until he had it painted red and put on side pipes. Sadly he sold the car in 79 and the new owner warped it around a tree and walked away.

Me and my 1979 L-82 circa 1989. Note the LeBra and Western Cyclone II wheels with Ecklers spinners and cones. Very trendy at the time.
