Cruise Night Shows - Ocala
I was making my car show pictures a running string in the one I started a month ago, but since it was also about almost getting hit, and everyone was talking about it like it happened last night, I decided to start a new clean thread just for the local car cruises around Ocala and the surrounding area.
The old one is here, if you want to check those pictures.

Today was the 14th Annual Drive Your Corvette to Work Day, so I took mine to work. It took awhile longer to get home since I had a few people wanting to talk about it. That meant I went straight to this show, Cruising with the Kid, on Maricamp Road and I was pretty late for it. Not a big deal, but here are a few pictures from it.
The guy last month with the MGTD replicar on the VW chassis had this one out.
Notice the cheater slicks. Surprisingly, he said they don't cause him much problmes in the rain, not that he drives in that much rain.
The parents of a friend of mine in junior high and high school had one of these. He occasionally got to take us out in it, but I think his dad was wise and made him buy his own rather quickly. Actually, we never did anything wild in it. Now his car, that was a different story.
Like this '65 Chevelle? You say it looks like a '64? That is because it has a '64 front end on it for all these years.

Jim likes his Delorean even though some are not excited about it. He says he doesn't care much about how the adults feel, because all the kids know it and what it is and he enjoys that more.
I got a great spot, even though I got there about 15 minutes before they began to pack it in. A few have been annoyed they shut them off so early. I also discovered a leak. A lady noticed that I had something dripping under the engine and I found that I had a drip around the radiator hose. The clamp wasn't real tight, so I moved the hose around that night to get a better seal and tightened the clamp, hoping that was it.

Nice looking cars. Thanks for sharing.
Btw, I was at a local show and noticed a delorean that had the optional flux capacitor installed. Nice touch.

Lots of "old school" rides. Interesting. Thanks for the pictures.

A few of you have noted this Riviera at some of the other shows.
Engine
Interior of the Riviera
Classic Model A
Like I said in the Great Race thread, here is the first of the two Montana blue 1967 Corvettes I saw, this one Saturday night, the one at The Great Race Sunday afternoon. How odd is that to find in Florida?

The Ocala Jeep Club came out. They have a large group and do a lot of traveling together to places to go place with Jeeps.
These two Hemi powered hot rods uncapped the exhaust later in the night and let loose with a bit of unmuffled roar.
These two guys hit almost every show. The older guy has the blue '57 Ford, which IIRC he bought either new or nearly new. It is a bit rough, but he still has it and still brings it out. There is a lot to be said for that. The other guy has this black Buick tonight but has shown up with a few different classic Chevies.
This older couple had their Pontiac out for the night. The '65 Mustang on the other side has its owners behind it. They were the first to speak to me when I pulled up.
