Talked to a guy early that had been in the corvette business for over 30 years.Well to make a long story short he said he has a book that says out of the 4,473 454 that were built 9% were brideghampton blue, and then you can half that and you end up with around 200 or less. Now there is no way to prove this but maybe someday someone will find somebody who worked there to tell us info on the colors and number that was built on each color.
Unfortunately, it's not likely. Over in the C1/2 forum there's a sticky thread for 63's. A guy has tried to collect detailed info for a long time now for cars still in existence. A lot of people would love to know those numbers, but to this day, you still can't get info on a vette beyond model and color - no combinations.

graveyard, don't know if that number is accurate as no records on colors and combo were kept, but as I said earlier I don't think it's many and might be less than 200.Promblem is there is no exact way of knowing.

You think by not knowing that it make the 70 a more desirable car or worth more?Maybe someday someone will come up with a little hard evidence to let us know something.
But ya i do think and if you just so a little searching that they were very very few of these built, cant prove it but it you look hard enough people know they cant be many.I would be safe to say under 200 for sure if not much lower.

Well guys here is my new toy,i done it i got her sitting in my garage,70 454,most all orginal.54,000 miles on her and i know there is no way to prove this but i belive it to be orginal because i have some documentation to go with it and also have a little of orginal owner's paper work with his name on several papers, also the tank sticker but it is not very good shape.Car is just to good of shape to have a lot of miles.Motor, trans, rear axle and color, all match perfect.Got to do some things to it,got some seals leaking, master cylinder, valve pan gaskets just a general going over. The guy had a lot of it restored 15 years ago and he drove it around 2000 miles over that period of time, so go figure.Radio, fiber optics, and everthing on it works ever the dash lights, got to remove the tach as the needle is broken it works but got to have a new needle instaled.Well guys got work to do but i hope it is going to be worth it because they aren't many of these cars around and i really enjoy driving it to the shows and cruise in's.It has had a repaint 15 years ago when he had it redone.

With snow this past Sunday and more coming this weekend here in NJ looks like the winter drives are over for a while.Been putting off some underhood detailing and cleaning to keep me busy. Some pics to follow.

Guy's going to put a oil pan gasket on my car and was going to put a new rear main while i was in there.Anyone ever done this and give me a few pointers what to do and what not to do while i am in there.I have the felpro one piece gasket for the oil pan and the blue felpro main seal for the rear. Was wondering if i need anything (gasket) or whatever for the oil pump when i remove it to go back on it.Also i am not sure of the torque specs of the main caps for the 454.
