78 C3 Door Weatherstrip
Opened the package of weather striping for the LH & RH doors. Found the AIM page to assist me in the install.....Turns out I need a little more help than they provide...like a better photo of what I am looking for..and what it is to look like. Because right now I do not see the holes it indicates are supposed to be there.
Would any one happen to have a photo of an installed weather strip???

Did you get the adhesive? I ordered some 3M black adhesive with my door gaskets. Only holes I am aware of is the holes at top of door where the tab screws in. Rest of gasket is glued.

Yep I have the glue. The holes I spoke of are these...for some reason there three holes??
I think it goes like so? using the bottom hole?
And the other end goes here
Like this??
And now the big question is should this be done now before the glass is installed or after.....cuz I am holding up on the doors until I get the dash installed....

Ok..I figured the small bottom hole was the on to use, after I attached the two holes on the door at the bottom of the picture.
Now which track do I glue to, this one or the one below it??
And this side was easier due to lack of extra holes.
I want to get it glued so I can hang it to install the window, locks etc....

Great photos. Installing new weatherstrips myself. You should do better than I, I do not have a track from the removed strip to follow, If possible post a photo of your weather strip as it is now so I can see where it goes before I glue mine down...Please
Off topic question: That's not a covered '60s XKE in that last photo, is it?

I could sure use a photo of the door weather strip placement on a 78.. I know it's not rocket science....but I am sure non of us want's to re-due something...I should have taken a photo at the time I took it apart, but then I did not know it would three yr's either...I think the current position is wrong and it should go down to the other level????

Yes, I've found that the stripping I just installed fits properly only when placed in the right area.
Also, when first installed, the doors have to be slammed shut. But after a week or so, they "squish" into place, and now my door closes with normal force. I'm very glad I replaced my old, cracked weather stripping.
