another update. 8 months in.
vette is at the shop getting the 4 speed rebuilt (grinding 3rd gear syncro) while its out i'm having the clutch replaced.
right hand exhaust manifold is leaking so getting a new gasket. a vette shouldnt sound like an old chevy truck.
while he's at it he's going to put a right valve cover gasket on. i replaced the left but didnt feel like messing with all the a/c components to do the right side.
replacing the oil pan gasket and rear main seal.
fixing the leaks a little bit at a time.
it's only been at the shop since thursday and i miss it terribly. wife thinks i'm nuts. haha

I see you're out of Leesburg. You're going to have to get all that stuff in working order to get her out to the Father's Day car show at the historic sully plantation in Dulles. Would love to see that beautiful vette in person! Good luck with the repairs and lets hope no others rear their ugly heads in the immediate future.

Congratulations on your beautiful '72.
As for the attention it requires, it's all part of the ownership.
Once sorted, the positive out ways the negative.
My '72 is a SB 4 spd, a/c car, and I just replaced the valve cover gaskets..a/c components were not a factor, as far as being in the way.

I see you're out of Leesburg. You're going to have to get all that stuff in working order to get her out to the Father's Day car show at the historic sully plantation in Dulles.
