Wow...
Playing with chainsaws around a corvette is not cool.
That's a lot of work ....you picked a challenge right there . There is not enough years in my life left to fix a car that broken.
Will be fun to watch it repaired
Good luck

So, I am curious, how much did they pay you to haul that thing off.
Seriously, it is nice to see a car so far gone being brought back to life. You have undertaken a serious challenge, let us know how we can help.

Seat belt lifting straps attached to the rocker channels distribute the weight. Use the outer seat belt bolts an auxiliary straps to the nose(radiator support if still in place) and tail.

I'm guessing 1/8" or thicker so they won't fail when you lift the car....
If I made my own.....I'd make them thicker than 1/8"!

The body weighs less than 800 pounds. Use the seat belt bolts to apply most of the lifting force, and Home Depot style straps to balance the load. The H frame keeps the forces straight down, rather than at angles in order to reduce tension on the straps. It also reduces the ceiling height clearance problem.

Wow Jnb yet another way to rig one up, I was actually kicking around the beam idea.

Thanks persuader.
Im tying up some loose ends so i can be ready to lift the body, one of the things is to put the radiator support back in (it was out of the car when I bought it) but Im having a heck of a time lining up those side bolts it doesnt seem to want to move down that last quarter of an inch so I can get them started. Any advice?
