I agree, I had to remove my Eckler clip and the remove the donor clip and then install the donor clip on my project. The Lord Fusor product I used gave me 40 min. So I practiced and practiced getting all lined up over and over. The day I pulled the trigger I was up all night practicing in my head having everything ready and close by. I finished in 35 min. Man it was close. I am sure you will do fine also and we will be watching.

How many helpers does it take to set that on?

You or one. I did it myself only because there was no one around. I think one person on each side would work. Well versed in where it needs to be , where to be looking, and working together are all very helpful. Checking the bottom to frame, eyebrow trim, thin strip across engine compartment, the core support alignment. Underneath headlight brace replacement if needed affects the headlights. I had to replace all and made markings where the clip needed to be for the correct fit because I was by myself. I actually rehearsed putting it on and timing myself. Nerve racking but doable and VERY rewarding.

Pneumatic gun made it very quick and easy to apply adhesive versus squeezing quickly. Just some pictures of the sequence I used.

I like how you have it tipped on it's nose to get out of the way and ready.

Man, the motor looks awesome. Love the contrast of the bolts. really nice. The torque wrench looks sweet. You must feel pretty good seeing it come together jr73.

Thanks.
I like the contrast too.
Oh the torque wrench belongs to my buddy, he took one look at my torque wrench and said "you ain't using that on this motor" He just bought it and has never used it yet. Can't believe he let me break it in.

So my next step is to calculate the push rod length then order those. Then assemble this valve train.

That's a good friend who gets more enjoyment in giving than receiving JR.
Don't ever lose him.

He gets me back during the summer I am his pit crew when we go drag racing in his 434 cu. Malibu. Keeps me running, I'm shot by the end of the day.

I just did a shortcut on my desktop to this.
I'm just starting on my own 72 Coupe.
Loving seeing so many photos.
Bless your carnivorous little heart. LOL

When you fire it up, you'll be grinning ear to ear. And not just the 1st time either.

Because, as you can see, I'm not too far, not too close either, behind you.
