I believe the rear window rubber seal is held in place with a yellow 3M adhesive. I don't recall rivets. Sorry, I thought you were talking about an earlier model C3.

Tim.. the trick is to get a long rivet that fits the hole and hold it up to see how long you need. Then drive the nail out of the rivet and make it shorter, re-insert the nail and rivet away. If you don't do this the rivet will push through the weatherstrip.
I don't know the exact size because we just hit the aluminum head on the grinder to a mark we make while doing it.. quick simple and easy..
