Default '69 build

I've read about other builds and looked at the pictures....so I wanted to share some of mine. I've got a lot of great ideas from this forum so maybe I can pay back or inspire someone else. I hope I get the pictures posted right! Since I started the build I built a new shop and it is now in the new shop with a lift.

Would love to hear comments or suggestions.

Thanks,

Glen

Still needs cleaning up and powder coat. I have 2 12 volt actuators that raise and lower it. I used 2 3/4 bore bearings and a 3/4 solid shaft for my pivot point. The actuators are at a 10* angle.

I can remove 4 nuts and the front end will come off. I'm not a body guy, but I want to do this entire car myself...well with help from my wife. I'm an engine builder so that part isn't a problem, but this body work is a lot of work. LOL!

Hi Hale, Your project looks like were in the same place a little. I am also doing my first restore by myself. It's been some adventure. The new place for your car looks awesome. I am learning fast about removing a front clip from my donor car. The paint and body section has a lot of feedback especially from DUB. Keep the pictures coming, you know we love them.

Thanks Roger. I will. I put a Turbo II body on an '80 back in '83 or '84. It was a job! LOL! My wife and I are having fun with this car. I have more pictures to post as soon as I get another free minute.

Your car looks like it's coming along as well...keep it up.

Some wild mods, the smooth firewall, not to mention the rear rims. This thing is gonna be wild. What exterior color?

A metallic Orange. Have the Hooker Headers and chrome side pipes for it as well. It will have a 540 with a BDS 8-71 blower, hat and electronic fuel injection. Should be a cool car. Shooting for September for a finish date.

What kind of numbers are you hoping to get from that engine with all the goodies you have going on it?

Thanks guy's. My wife and I are trying to do it all ourselves. The encouragement from everyone here sure makes all the work seem a little easier.

Looking for 1200hp. Starting with a Dart block 4.500 bore and 4.250 stroke so 540" with a Littlefield blower. Going to run Brodix heads. It will have A/C and power windows.....I plan on driving it. Thanks again for the interest....I'll post more pictures.

Not sure who made the front end but I extended it to cover the windshield wiper door.

Josh at Custom Imagine Corvette's made the front spoiler. I had to modify it a little to fit the flares.

The front will tilt with 2 12 volt electric actuators. It's held down with 3 butterfly spring loaded dzus buttons on each side..
