I have a '72 factory air convertible. February built and delivered to Jerry's Chevrolet in Baltimore. Originally white with deluxe saddle interior, now painted Brands Hatch Green with a tan convertible top.

Jan '70 car 1889. It's a real nice driver and has good authenticated docs; build sheet and protecto plate. Engine authenticated as original. Had no smog when I got it, but trans, rear, carb, alternator, water pump, starter, distributor, glass, jack all are dated/cast/stamped correct to the car. The carb in the picture is a new 4555 3972121 repro made by Holley, original is on the shelf.

Yep - that's me - wasn't flogging her that hard (my 8-year old son was in the passenger seat) but you get the sound/sensation from the solid lifters, M22 and 4.56 combo.

And no more progress on the original owner outside of shipping verification from NCRS. Guaranty Chevrolet, San Diego in July '70.

72 LT-1 convertible, low options, but possibly a one-only car with a tank sticker proving it was a 'paint-trim override' with Targa blue paint and Saddle interior. Normally, you could only get black or blue interior with Targa blue paint.

4.56?

What's the top speed of that car, will it even hit 100mph?

Thanks for the math - Saves me from wringing her out!

I'd really like to know why the original owner ordered the car w/4.56's. It's all original drive train, so it must have been a road racer, drag car, hill climber or auto crosser. Or all of the above.

Definitely not long-haul cruiser!

For those who have a LT-1 with the Transistor Ignition, could you send me a picture of where the TI amp/box is mounted or if not tell me location of where it is mounted....thanks.
