Default Dark doeskin color name or code?

Hi all,

My 80' has a doeskin interior but the carpet is the darker golden brown color. I'm thinking of buying a set of perfor-mat floor mats and there's no listing of a dark doeskin. Anyone know what color this darker carpet might be called?

Thanks,
Sam

Looks like in 1980 doeskin was the only "brown" color available, but I keep looking.

Have you contacted perfor-mat and asked their definition of Corvette doeskin or what their equivalent color might be?

There was a situation in 1980, where Doeskin could have come with either light or dark doeskin carpet. The trim code was the same with either carpet, and there doesn't appear that there was any way to specify which color came in a car.

I don't know if it was an internal GM decision based on a car's exterior color, a situation where GM had different suppliers that used different color carpets, or just the luck of the draw, that determined which carpet was used.

Like the Doeskin, 1980 Oyster also came with either a light or dark oyster carpet, for some unknown reason.

Auto Custom Carpet makes maps in both the light and dark Doeskin. Most other Corvette vendors can get you the ACC maps, in either color.

Thanks, I found the dark doeskin mats on amazon, I might just have to go with those over perfor-mats.

And for those looking, the code I keep seeing is 7037-A3 for the darker doeskin carpet. I think the regular doeskin carpet is 7087

What kills me is I just bought new carpet in the darker doeskin color from Willcox but when I called looking for the floor mats to match they don't carry them.
