Quadrajet rebuild with a full kit from Cliffs High Performance. Cliff is fantastic and I actually found I had the wrong gaskets installed from the previous owners rebuild. Cliffs baseplate and air horn gaskets were correct and the car runs 10X better. Carb was '73 factory replacement.
I need to get Quadrajet kit for my '73. Hoping it all goes smoooooothly.

Got the other side almost done...it was a LOT tougher than the driver's side. I used ss pipe bends from Summit- "Vibrant" brand and think it's a great product.

Found/purchased a pair of bezels on ebay that were missing from my headlights. Stripped the beautiful, sparkly blue paint from them so they can be painted polar white.
Also did some fiberglass repair on the car.

Put new tires on today. Amazing how much better she rides with 17 years newer tires.
I bought the car last spring and the tires looked very good and I did not know to check the date code. As soon as I found out how old they were I ordered new.

In keeping with my new philosophy of driving it every week, I took it to McDonald's Friday morning for some hotcakes before my daughter got here so we could go to Atlanta.
(No pictures, they are already posted elsewhere with her in the '68.)
After getting home Saturday morning on Greyhound (a trip that I will probably memorialize on Off Topic in a day or two), I noticed some signs saying Corvette show. So instead of crashing for some much needed sleep, I went home, got the '68 out again, went to Burger King for breakfast, and then to the Corvette show.
As a spectator.
Obviously, Corvette Club of Marion County couldn't comprehend that someone might want to just come by in their Corvette and look instead of paying money to sit around all day for others to pick the best car of the group.
So at first, they said I needed to park down the street in another parking lot, or I could park in front of the bank. I chose the front of the bank, but then, they called me back and told me to park on the side, which ended up having the non-pre-registration show cars parked around it.
I got to see a lot of nice cars, talk to several nice people, and talk to a couple of clueless people and one real jerk.
I'll talk about the jerk in the C2 group later.
Lots of good pictures over in the Southeast Events area.

Dyed most of the passenger's seat for my 73. The can decided to run out with a small portion left to dye. Oh well, I guess it will have to be like that for the show on Sunday.
