Vettes at the Port
Took my Stingray to the Vettes at the Port 2017 car show today in Cape Canaveral. Beautiful weather for the event with over 200 cars in attendance. It was people's choice awards for all categories. C3s were split into two classes: 1968-1977 and 1978-1982.
Here are a few pics.

But honestly, I did not expect this...

Got out and DROVE it today! About 250 miles round trip up to the mountains to a couple of wineries and a brewery. Bugs, dust and road grime all over the car, but that's no problem, I'll clean it tomorrow.

Put a digital media receiver and new speakers in the 69 for the missus, with the help of Boatguy. What a difference! While his 71 was at the house we took a few photos. My neighbor came by in his recently acquired 2013 and I installed the NPP exhaust controller I built him. We drove it. Then when things were buttoned up we all took our kids and went about 30 miles up the road and back for dinner- in my 64 and 69 and boatguy in Ruby the 71. A good day.
Corvette love.

Spring in Michigan
Beautiful 60 degree spring day. I took her out of storage . She was happy to start right up for me. 40 minute warm up drive then let her rest until we went to dinner. Sunday we'll take her to church then who knows from there. Going into the 70's today. For those of us who have not been on the road all winter, don't forget to wave.

I took my '68 out for breakfast Saturday and then worked around the house. I ran late but still went to a local cruise night at K-Mart. It was small but it changes each month and everyone is interested in the cars.

Then I went to breakfast in it today. The idea of driving it weekly is paying off. It is running better, the charging is less erratic, the gauges are not jumping around, headlights are going up and down better, and it is starting better.

Man, I would drive right over that if I wanted to drive mine.
Or I'd shovel it off. It looks like it is gone everywhere but there. what did you do, plow the yard and pile it there to get the Vette secure inside?

Attempted to remove the seat mounting nuts/plates welded to the floor pan. Body shop that installed floor pan put them in the wrong place. Have to come up with plan B.

Got this from ebay, it's a single DIN multimedia/FM player. 24.95 delivered. Custom Auto Sound blew up.
Installed lens and controls for vintage air, repainted face plate and wheels. Topped with satin clear

Yesterday had a bad day at work. Had to make a choice "take the Vette out" to clear my head or have a Martini. Vett won.
Hade another bad day today. Had the same choice. Martini won. Oh Well, you win some and you lose some.

Will do. I am waiting on a single din gauge bezel to arrive from Willcox. I like it because it has the two **** and looks like an old shaft mount radio and is only 1/2 as deep. It functions as advertised. Has an occasional glitch with reconnecting to blue tooth and needs a bigger heat sink, but sound quality is pretty good.
