Well, the ride home didn't go as planned. The car just shut off like you'd hit a light switch. Checked under hood, No fuel in the fuel filter. Odd. Rollback ride home, unloaded it, had fuel in the filter, but still wouldn't start. Not even a sputter. I think it's electrical and the fuel pump was/is a coincidence.

The last few nights I have been finishing up a lot of loose ends- you know when you get it almost there but not quite finished because you know there is a better way to do it.

I had been looking at some really neat billet clamps to hold/secure the dry sump lines from rubbing the Rack & Pinion's u-joints.

Found some really nice ones- for upwards approaching ½ C-note!!!

I then had an AHA moment - grabbed a piece of leftover 2½" stainless exhaust pipe- cut it at a slight angle and it worked PERFECT!!!

A win- win as it cost nothing...

I was also final fitting the accelerator linkage- looks like I have enough clearance -Clarence-

Pulled off the cover and wiped it down.
Got it ready for the big annual show and shine car show here in Napa tomorrow.
I'm not entered, but it will be a beautiful day to drive the 73 into town, have breakfast, then walk around and look at a couple hundred cars.

I'll take some pics tomorrow at the show and post them.
My 73 is not entered.
The bargaining chip was we would walk through the car show in the morning and attend a family baby shower in the afternoon.
There will be lots of good food, a big screen TV and pool table in the game room.

The 496 will be part of the body off resto/mod of the entire car starting next year.
Right now it's still a completely original 73 BB

After a 16 year wait I started the ZZ502 for the first time. AT WAS AWSOME!
Primed the oil for 15 minutes. Set the timing by eyeball orientation. Fired up on the first crank, it did not even make one complete revolution and it fired up. I can't believe it.

Well i get to the shop today.... and the paint never dried out satin, it stayed gloss on the firewall.... soooooo i reshot it with some stuff i found from what looks like the 80s.... and it came out correctly mix between flat and satin, but had some weird coloring... I guess from the age....

I guess the other stuff was miss-labeled ... cuz it was labeled satin... and it sure wasn't, I figured it would flash out... buuuut never did -.-

All fuel lines are new. Not the steel line to the fuel pump, but everything else is new.

Took the 73 into downtown Napa, CA. this morning and walked through the annual car show.
Several hundred beautiful cars and perfect weather.
There was a good showing of C1, C2, and C3's in attendance.

The radio itself was about the same size as the OEM radio, but with the plugs (USB, Ipod, etc) made it deeper and a little tougher to install. The **** stalks stick out more then OEM and the OEM ***** didn't fit. They provide some spacers, that I used.

I installed the slide bar. The bar and number is a fake cover:

Slide the slider and the LEDs come into view.

The soundbar was more difficult to install than it should have been. The holes the set screws go in were not tapped and after 6 attempts, each time the screw falling into the speaker assembly (I was able to fish it out each time), we elected just to screw the bars to the bulkhead.
