What did you do to your C3 today?

Pulled the bumpers so they can go off for re-chroming. Tried to salvage the front grilles but the chrome is too far gone so replacements ordered.
Need to manage the budget now so repainting the front & rear badges. First effort is ok'ish but the red paint is noticeably thicker than the white & black so will redo and thin it out some

That pic above was the first pass and I got lucky here as I had them on my desk at work and my sister in law who's very arty-farty stepped in and said she'd love to do them so I guess I'll leave it to her to do as she will. I've turned the corner on the yellow one and now started reassembly having got most parts back from chrome. Parts arrived from suppliers & e b a y and my proposed painter dropped off some Ontario Orange spray outs. Plan is to get it on the road mid to late June in yellow then strip and paint Sept onwards.

I installed new LED tail/brake/turn signal lights. These Philips are great! Much brighter than stock, and since I only changed the rears the stock signal flasher works with no problems, no new special flasher needed.
These are the ones....kinda expensive, but worth it IMO.

There probably isn't too much difference between a bald patch and the reflection off the rear view mirror.
I like the car color.
What is it?

Got all but one part of the front bumper back from chrome so putting it all back on. Wheels go to media blast today as they're too big to fit in my DIY cabinet as do the exhaust manifolds.
Refinished the sill covers

oooh I like it. This LT-1 I'm doing should be OO and the plan is to do that over the Winter.

Measure 25 times and drill once or twice. The paper template takes the fun out of it though

I put a passenger side mirror on my 76 and had the template. I measured, and remeasured.....compared it to the side with the factory driver's mirror and re-measured. Then I thought about it for a while and then, asked my wife to come out and listen to my thoughts and reasoning why I was drilling two holes and where . She looked it over and said it made sense so I got out the drill and drilled into that nice door. It came out pretty nice but on something like drilling into a nice car, you want to get it right THE FIRST TIME!! LOL!!
