What did you do to your C3 today?

Installed the exhaust panel nut plates on my new taillight panel. I ended up using my neighbor's hand rivet press for airplanes. Work is so much easier with the right tools!

Played around with different thermostats. I thought the non modified 195 was letting the engine get a little too warm at times. It got up to 210 on an Autometer gauge.
I'm using a Stewart Stage II water pump. Stewart recommends a thermostat with three 3/16 " holes drilled in it. They sell them also. I had a Stewart modified 180 thermostat so I put it in. The car is running 195 at The warmest now.
I have an adjustable fan controller that I need to adjust now to zero in on the temperature.

You people are doing some amazing work on your cars. I'm appreciative of the carpet picture @stingraymaniac posted. I'm waiting on my carpet to arrive so it's nice to know what I'm getting.

I spoke to Alan a few months after he left the forum. He was doing fine. Sadly, as it happens often on forums, people feel they can say any rude comment they want. He basically had enough of the nonsense that goes on. Too bad I learned so much from his knowledge and the great photos of his car.
It is not my place to preach, but the lesson to learn is, if you would not say something to a person to his/her face, don't say it on a forum!!!!! In fact, we are about to loose another great forum member from nonsense!!!
I might also add that the subject has been discussed regularly and it usually results in that thread getting shut down. So "WHAT DID YOU DO TO YOUR C3 TODAY????"

On that sad, but completely understandable note...
I bonded my rear window "halo" trim back together after I broke it taking it off. Next I need to clean up the bonded joints and paint it black.
I also cleaned out the large pile of cardboard/misc junk that was piling up in my garage in front of my tool boxes. Had a large trash pickup yesterday to haul it all away! I can finally access my tools easily again.... Now to clean up the mess I made when I wasn't putting the tools in their proper place because of the junk. This will ultimately help when I have to put everything back together after the carpet is installed... and the rear window seal is replaced... and my leaks are plugged... and..... and...

I really wish someone could convince Alan to return to the forum. More than anyone else I think Alan embodied the heart and soul of the C3 community. He was always ready to help anyone with a question and the quality of his work was unsurpassed. I miss his input.

Finished (almost) Connected Starter Solenoid
Just reinstalled the starter solenoid...whew! Corvette Hop told me I didn't have to remove it, but I saw no other options for connecting the wires...even reinstalled the heat shield! The "almost" refers to the heater blower motor connection. Still trying to figure out whether or not I should go with the old one with the capacitor attached. Any ideas?
