Sunday I went to the swap meet in Nashville TN . I found the correct harmonic balancer pulley for the SBC.
this week end I will put the shim kit in the rear railing arms.

I cleaned it with a bit of very fine sanding paper. Then used anti rust primer and a very thin coat of paint. I had to re-do it because the first time I sprayed it too much and the paint started to peel and flake.
The second time I sprayed it with very thin layer and it came out nice. But still the paint is quite "fragile" if I can say so. You can scratch it easily.
This is what I used:
The codes of the paint.

I also removed and cleaned the vapor canister and repainted it with plastic paint.
I used this for the first time and I'm very happy with the results.

Picked up my ARP main cap bolts and head bolts.
Man, are these things made of solid gold or what?

The black paint is also very good. Used it on some parts. Will post a picture of the fan, which I sandblasted and painted it in black.

sold it. I may have done 500 miles in the '72 in 2 years as my default is always the LT-1. I will replace it, just not sure what era Vette will be the replacement.
It's gone to a good home, or it will at the end of Feb. A little sad but I firmly believe they should be driven and that wasn't happening with this one

I've been putting this project off for quite a while. I got some tools together to pull the windshield out of my '81.
I was pleasantly surprised that there was only surface rust and no rust holes. Had some problems getting four of the clip retaining screws out. Stripped out screw heads. Now the fun begins.
