Cut my handles back in (shaved in 2002).... new rims/tires too.... new 140amp alternator and valve covers... just need longer rear spring bolts to lower it..... Bolt on exhaust will be on next week... also doing black sport mirrors since I can't really match the body color now (custom mix)

Put POR-15 in the spring wells since I am rebuilding the front suspension - you can only really do it with the springs out. Also applied POR-15 to the areas of the front crossovers where the lower control arms attach since those areimpossible to do with the control arms in. Somehow, despite long sleeves, gloves and face shield - I got some POR-15 on me!

I walked past my 73 under its cover in the garage several times.
It was a beautiful day, 70+ and the sun was shining, which also meant it was a good day to prime the bedroom ceiling and start cutting down the old messy tree in the back yard.
This morning I’m applying the first coat of paint then driving up to the foothills for a 8-9 mile day hike with my wife and our pup.

I just got Raquel back after having the entire front end rebuilt, QA1 Coilover Shock placed and a Borgeson Power Steering unit replacing the stock (and very worn out) factory power steering unit.
It doesn't handle like my 2005 Vette but it's much better than before the major surgery. The "drift" is gone, along with about 30 degrees of slop in the steering wheel.
Raquel, the 1979 Corvette.

I repaired my right side mirror using theandies method of drilling / tapping for two 6-32 screws and washers. I appreciate the terrific write up, a super detailed post, thank you sir.

My old fan clutch was showing some "wobble" so I decided to replace it. One vendor sent me a replacement which looked nothing like the one that was on it and was MUCH shorter. I found this one to be the best match - it's still a bit shorter but it still allows the fan to be in the shroud and looks better than the other one (though you can't see much of it...). Then, of course the sun was out so I had to take her out for a spin!!! It's fresh off a complete chassis restore so trying to get everything dialed back in.
Just under .250" shorter
Did the best I could to make the lettering white again. These tires are not even a year old and MAYBE have 200 miles.

Drifting
Got the wiring installed for the new power window doors and reinstalled the center console with added window switches.
And then one of my door switches decided to mess with me and leave my interior lights on while I was wrapping up work last night at midnight. Took me an hour to track down the issue and get it working correctly again.

Door Weatherstrip Job
A simple door weatherstrip job turned to hell yesterday.
I couldn't get the old adhesive off of the doors.
Of course the old weatherstrips were easy to remove as they fell apart in my hand.
But I used many chemicals known to man to remove the adhesive and nothing worked.
I ended up applying a paint stripper with a brush.
That would loosen the adhesive bond to the paint SOMEWHAT.
I don't know what that stuff is but it is hardened like a rock.
I finally had to go to some bigger guns.

Did you try hitting it with a hot air gun?
