car color
I have a 1974 C3 in a color I have not seen before but was told by the previous owner it was a factory color. How can I confirm this? It is a dark brown metalic color that almost looks maroon in the sunlight. Did they make a dark brown car in 74?

Hi RT,
On the driver's side hinge post there's a "trim tag" riveted to the post.
On the tag is a code for the exterior color, interior color, and the car's build date.
If you post the color code someone will be able to tell you the color for that code and you'll know the answer to your question.
I'm not too familiar with 74 colors but I do remember one as you describe.
