Default Oil Pan Gasket

I am replacing the oil pan gasket. Is there a better one piece gasket that is recommended? If not , what is the best four piece gasket? It's for a 75 if that matters.

When I changed the oil pump on my 69 small block a year ago I used the Fel-Pro one piece. It was highly recommended here on the CF and it worked fine for me. Use the search function to find older posts on the Fel-Pro one piece oil pan gasket.

Yes, use the Fel-Pro. I did and mine's been drip free for many years.

I swear by the Fel Pro 1 piece ones. Won't build an engine without them now. Little more dollars but you don't have to worry about leaks anymore.

I just bought this gasket with the 4 e-z install pieces. I can't recall but what is the correct torque? Are the 4 corners the same value? Any particular recommended pattern?

I believe the corners are 20 ft-lbs, the rest are 15 ft-lbs. Check the instructions that came with the gasket and new bolts.

The instructions just say "according to manufacturer's instruction".

I stand corrected,....didn't see the sheet stuck in the box. You are correct.....
