Looks like it's time for a new update....I'll start with the finished rear end build.

I also set in a painted the wheel wells.....

I decided to just use anti-seize on the exhaust manifolds, they turned out pretty good and it has help up well.

Put a new set of tires on it....Looks much better with the correct size.

I'm going to start this years winter projects tomorrow.

1. New valve seals.
2. Replace the rubber under the hood fuel line with a proper steel one.
3. Redo the heater core cutoff valve so it looks more stock.
4. Check the fitment of the extra hood and put new seals in the AC connections while it's off.

I think the transmission downshift issues will have to wait till next winter.

Hey Brian ... Really nice looking ride! I enjoyed reading through your entire history here since picking up your car. I have a 1970 and also going through everything, but started at the front of the car. My rear is completely out right now and about to embark on the cleanup. Diff is in for a freshen up, and just bought some slightly used trailing arms.
Can I ask where you got your replacement leaf and what did you consider before sticking with a 9-leaf? I am vascillating between replacing mine with steel vs. the monoleaf right now.

Thanks & Great Project! Joel

I just freshened up the leaf that was in the car.....It is a 10 leaf replacement spring but I have no clue when it was put in the car....The hardest part was finding new liners....No one makes a kit for a 10 leaf so I found a roll on ebay and made my own.

Good luck with your build....

You done good son. (grammar affected by spending the last week and half among the locals at our bottomless money pit, excuse me, chaotic cattle operation and that's not a slam toward the locals, they are salt of the earth and will help someone else before they help themselves). I admire your patience and trusting your gut feeling, it's usually right. Have generational ties and soft spot for Rome GA.
Good luck with that good looking bumper car.

Thank You for the kind words.....I live almost as close to Rome as I do Cartersville....Euharlee to be exact...I can see Plant Bowen from my front porch. It has been a slow process to get it to where I want it to be....But I'm enjoying the journey.
