C3's As Daily Drivers

Drifting
I have used all of my Corvettes as daily drivers over the years. My longest comunte was 45 miles one way from St Joseph MO to Kansas City MO. My other longer comoutes where in San Diego California; about 35 miles one way.
Currently my home to office is 7 miles one way.
Yes they can be used and enjoyed.

As long as you can fix them...and maintain them. And don't drive around in the city all day to customeds locations to fix their office equipment. That long nose is a PITA squeezing into parking spaces...

I drive my 75 to work either 1 or 2 times per week. That is a 25 mile round trip. On Saturday I take my 73 out for any errands. Maybe 10 miles total. On Sunday I take the 72 to church. 8 miles round trip.
So total would be around 40 - 45 miles per week spread over 3 cars.

My burb is about a mile off the main shopping drag, so depending on which route through I can get auto parts, food, carry out, gasoline, bank, most anything I need within two miles.....so a tank of gas lasts about 2 months......age 71 and obviously retired.....
OH, it's a '72 vert with FI and 200 4r auto.....totally not stock in any respect......

Mine was forced into daily driving duties about a month ago while my S-10 was in for a fuel pump. It did fine despite being a little on the hot side (interior)
Now that the S-10 is back I drive it probably 100 miles a week, just fooling around, having fun

Melting Slicks
When I first bought mine, I drove it every day, year round...rain, snow, whatever. I built a 355, dropped it in and run up 130,000 miles on it driving 400 miles a week to and from work. Believe it or not, P295 50 15's will work just fine in snow.....if you know how to drive in snow.
Once the 406 went in,....and the carnage began,....the less and less I drove it daily. Now the interior is gutted and I'm replacing floor pans and a full interior. Might get to drive it again next year..........But just on nice days.

My 77 is my DD, when it is not broken (it is currently broken). I drive about 70 miles a day in all weather, but nothing beats running through the gears after a long day at work.
