Projected build completion date: Never! Realistically hopefully paint on it by 2022
I did the same thing!!! When I bought mine in 81- I had no money for gas and had to borrow $5 from my girlfriend's sister to get the car home!!!

Car looks fantastic!!! Love to see someone else modding their car and not referring to the AIM manual!!!

When I was setting up the rear on mine- I put a 60lb bag of concrete to replicate a ˝full tank....But I'm thinking the magnet on your sub would suffice!!!

FYI- When I started doing the AN fittings - I decided the red and blue just didn't cut it. I found you can remove the anodizing ( lye/oven cleaner) and hit them with a buffer wheel. Polished aluminum with the black manifold would look killer!!!

Keep the pics coming.

Richard

Love the dash, not a fan of the ipad, but it still looks killer. How long did that take?

Hi, it has a Autofab built Moser 4 link rear, so the coil overs are very adjustable. I promise it will be sitting right when done. The rear wheels stick out even with the body so it will need some height over the wheels. At least 2.5 inches in my estimate but will see what works with testing. Has a 305/25/22 on the back with 1/2" frame clearance.

Was a lot of work, I built the dash to hold a 7" screen first then decided to switch to the iPad. The dash is all mdf so lots of sanding and shaping.

Richard454 I asked for Black fittings before Wilson built the manifold, and was told they only use Blue and Red.. I can see myself redoing all that plumbing just for black and polished down the road lol.

Thanks guys am really looking forward to Dyno numbers hoping for 1200+

Not necessarily my style either, but I can tell a lot of very nice work has gone into this ride. Very well done!

Thank you all very much for the kind words, I can not wait to get this project finished!

Tom wow that is serious, I see you are a Jesel and ARP guy also!
Any links to your build?

I have question for you, do you have any clearance issues with those valve covers? On the top Jesel rockers, mine are contacting the vertical wall of the valve covers. Might be a Brodix 24° BB-3 Xtra only issue, my Jesel set is specifically made for my heads and you would think, my valve covers also.
It looks like yours are very close on top also, and your valve covers look smaller then mine? I will probably have to do some minor cutting and welding to clearance properly.

The chrome valve covers you see are GM Bow Tie covers they clear the jessel rockers no problem

Made some good progress on my interior, I finished the last spot on the car that was a mess, the battery and rear hatch area, I filled and raised one side of the storage buckets then Fiberglassed them both to be nice and flat and even height on each side, and embedded some nice matching billet battery trays for Dual Optima Batteries. Got everything all scraped and scrubbed down clean, What a bitch it is hard to get in there, my back still hurts! Anyway I finished sanding then primed then covered everything with 3mm sound deadening mat.
Primed and painted the roll bar gloss black, and thanks to my good friend Pat at Performance Marine in Ft. Lauderdale they sealed and Gel Coated my MDF speaker box I spent so many hours building 10 years ago, so it should last forever!! Gloss black so smooth it looks like a new car paint job.
Planning on replacing the black deck trim pieces I made with custom Billet cnc pieces powdercoated black with machined accents and countersunk Arp 12 point hardware for fasteners. I want a 1/2 inch high cnc beveled base for the 15 Solobaric, also have a bunch more interior upgrades planned after I get everything else back together. One step at a time!
Near future: Install 540 with TKO 600!
Wire custom painless rear fusebox setup with dual battery isolator, install dual battery tender charger system, run big 3 wiring, and get this b e a s t running.
