Default Where to buy a new '82 dash pad??

My gosh..I can't get over how much a new dash pad for an '82 costs! Nearly $500?! I making an attempt to repair mine. I had to at least give it a shot. If I can't get it right and have to pop for a new one, where is the least expensive place to purchase a good quality one? Not crazy about dash covers (no offense to anyone that has one...that's just me) so that's out. Thx in advance

To my knowledge, there is only one source for them. Everyone gets them from the same company, so prices are going to be about the same from most vendors. Just check around and see where you get the best price.

I carry pads from CA and from AK.... But I prefer the Al Knoch 1978-1982 Dash Pad. Corvette America's dash pad needs a tweak right now and the pad from Al is spot on.

Use the current sale code and save 20 percent off the price! (434.00 aprox)

Will20 is the code.

We also have some neat installation tips on our facebook page and on our repair website.

IMO, it's tough to beat Al Knoch stuff.

I got mine from Wilcox. Its nice and way better than what I had in there, But...Fair warning. It takes a Lot of trimming and fitting to get it installed. The holes for the headlight switch and the AC vents took the most time. I probably spent 4 or 5 hrs on it before I could install it, but once it wad done it looks Great! Not slamming Wilcox at all, it comes to them that way. If I had it to do again I would Still buy from them.

I agree and that is part of the tweak needed. A heat gun works great for vents... I usually heat the abs up, insert the vent and then cool it... Seems to make quick work of it that way. We did a CA pad install and documented it on our Facebook page.. There are tips there on how to install the pad and combined with then installation instructions off the site you should get it done.

Thanks for the replies, and Willcox for the discounted dash info and advice. You should be hearing from me soon. I was also planning on ordering some dk. blue dye and a headlight vacuum hose kit.
