Leaking transmission rear seal
Hi, I was chasing oil leaks on my car and found one too many (at least)!
It would appear that my transmission is leaking.
It is a 76 manual, stock transmission.
In the pics, I believe the rear seal is leaking and maybe a bolt on the side?!
My shop manual only describes the saginaw and Muncie, mine is a Warner. Unless Saginaw is Warner as well...
What is the easiest way of solving that problem?
How difficult is the removal of the transmission?
Transmission details
rear seal leak?
What is that ? tach?
and is that a leak from that bolt?

Thank Larry, one mystery solved... At least I know where it is when it will fail.
just have to figure out how much work removing the transmission or replacing the seal is.

You can change the rear seal just by removing the driveshaft. And the "bolt" is the end of the shift fork. You can remove that nut, wiggle the lever off and replace that seal too. And both of those without removing the trans.
